Surgeon-General R. S. F. Henderson informed a Post reporter to-day that good progress was being made with the special ward for soldiers at Otago Hospital. In Ohristchurch arrangements have been completed for the orthopaedic hospital to be established for :the treatment and restoration of wounded men. Messrs. E. Johnston and Co. will sell furniture to-morrow at 1 p.m., at No. 36, Upland-road; on Wednesday, at 1 p.m., in their rooms; on Thursday, at 1 p.m., at No. 14, Oriental-terrace. The N«w Zealand Loan, and Mercantile Agenoy Co., Ltd., will s&U stock at Levin to-morrow. Entries for the Wairarapa Show close with the secretary at Carterton, on Wednesday next. Late entries will be accepted, on payment of a late fee, for a few days longer.
