ROWING AND SCULLING
CHAMPIONSHIPS OP NEW SOUTH
WALES
SYDNEY, 22nd December.
The annual rowing and sculling championships of New South Wales were held for the first time on the Nepean River.
Results are as follow:—
Champion Eights.—Mosman crew (holders of title), 1; Sydney crew, 2; Leichhardt, 3. There was a dazzling finish. Won by a quarter of a length.
Challenge Fours (one mile).—Nepean, Mosman, 2. Won by two lengths.
Champion Sculls (three miles). —H. R. Pearce, tho Olympic 'champion, won by eight lengths from J. A. Goulding. Time, 20min 30 l-ssec.
Light-weight Champion Sculls (two miles).—B. Martin, 1; J. Fisher, 2. Won by two lengths.
