LONDON, 21st December.
The newspaper "Tagebuch" is demanding that the German delegation at The Hague-in January should propose that the Young Plan be revised to provide appropriation for the maintenance of the "occupation babies."
It is claimed that there are fifteen thousand children in the Rhineland whose fathers were soldiers of the Allied Occupation. These should not be allowed to grow up with embittered feelings towards their enemy fathers. "Even the forthright Mr. Snowdei* could not bluntly refuse to reduce Germany's burdens in favour of children who owe their existenco to the affection of German girls towards the occupation soldiers," adds the "Tagebuch." The Women's Club in the Rhineland is also demanding that Britain and France should allot funds for the support of the occupation babies.
