BOXING DAY MEETINGS
Those Wellingtonians who have a leaning towards light harness racing have a gathering fairly close at home in the South Wairarapa Trotting Club's Meeting at Clareville on Thursday. The fields are strong numerically, but so many of those engaged are completely unknown quantities that backers luve to be prepared for some turn-ups on the first day. The Logan lointer mare Arachne is to contest the Wairarapa tup, and on actual handicaps she appears to be well treated on a 4 44 mark.
