"With throe wickets down for 113 and only 182-to beat.Hutt were in a good position when they commenced play against University on the Hutt Recreation Ground on Saturday. Both men had given chances by catches, and both had been dropped by M'Leod,, Warnes at 12 and M'Kenzie at 0. Beard hit a useful 10 and Hutt were all out at 4 p.m. for 208. Apart from the bad luck of M'Leod, the University fielding was excellent. Aim and Harrison bowled all the afternoon, and met with ,nb little success. Harrison took- six for 68 and' Aim three for 82^ r .; University's second innings produced 162 for only four wickets.
