Tha Ixion Motor-cycle Club held a sports meeting at Otakl yesterday. Results:— Two Mile Scratch Race. —E. S. • Hewer (Budge), 1; H. J. Arcus (Triumph), 2; VV. C. Hogg (Rudge), 3. Three Mile Scratch Race (rolling start). —E. V. Hewer (Hudgo), 1; G. S. Woodward (Pan-tt-sr), 2; C. W. Hewer (Cotton), 3. Sf,x Mile Handicap (open to visitors). —B. M. M'Kay (Enflcld), 1; W. Beaver (A.J.S.), 2; W. C. Hose (Uudge), 3. Flyins Half-mile (rolllns? start).—W. B. Harvie (Douglas), 83.8 m.p.h., 1; J. Coombe (A.J.3.), 82.8 ra.ii.li., 2; C. W. Hewer (Rudge), 78.4 m.p.h., 3. Tiic riders in this event considered that If the slow rolling' start were cut out and a full mile allowed in which to gather speed, these figures would be considerably improved.
