Beaver (A.J.S.), 2; W. C. Hose (Uudge), 3. Flyins Half-mile (rolllns? start).—W. B. Harvie (Douglas), 83.8 m.p.h., 1; J. Coombe (A.J.3.), 82.8 ra.ii.li., 2; C. W. Hewer (Rudge), 78.4 m.p.h., 3. Tiic riders in this event considered that If the slow rolling' start were cut out and a full mile allowed in which to gather speed, these figures would be considerably improved.
