ARMY CRICKET
AUSTRALIA BEATS NEW ZEALAND (Rec. 2 p.m.) CAIRO, October 10. The A.I.F. cricket team, which includes four test and three State players, defeated a New Zealand side at the Maadi Sporting Club grounds in Cairo by seven wickets. The Australians stayed in after their victory to give a batting display. Scores: —New Zealand Base team; First innings, 155 (Tindill 29, Rainbird 39, Betts 42). A.1.F.: First innings, 161. New Zealand: Second innings, 77. A.1.F.: Second innings, five for 173 (Hassett not out 102).
