HALCOMBE WEDDING

SHULTZ—KREEGHER. (From Our Own Correspondent). The wedding that has been agitating the minds of the womenfolk of Halcombe for the last week or so came off this morning at the Lutheran Church when Miss Pearl Kreegher, the eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Kreegher, of Halcombe, said “I will” to Mr A. O Shultz, the second son of Mr O. Shultz, of Hurleyville, Taranaki. The Church had been elaborately decorated by girl friends of the bride, who was a radiant vision in white crepe de chine, trimmed with pearls and silver. She had on her head the usual veil and orange blossoms, and on her feet were silver shoes. Carrying a beautiful shower bouquet, she went up the asile on the arm of her father. The bridesmaids were Miss D. Kreegher, of Hastings, a cousin of the bride, and Miss Christianson, of Fielding. They both wore crepe de chine frocks, the former mauve and the latter crushed rose, and all three bridesmaids carried bouquets made by Miss Elsie Fergusson, and wore strings of pearls, the gifts of the bridegroom. Mr Walter Schultz, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and Mr P. Sterne and Mr R Kreegher, cousins of the bride, were groomsmen. The Rev. Te Punga tied the knot, and Mrs Te Punga was at the organ. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Carlton tearooms, Fielding, where Mrs Kreegher, who was gowned in maroon, with hat to match, received over 100 guests, who watched the bride operate on a beautiful three-decker cake, made by Mr Whitehead. The young couple left later for Nelson, where part of the honeymoon will be spent. The bride’s travelling frock was of navy blue, over which she wore a fuschia coat, with hat to match.
