Finland’s Cabinet has sent a protest and demand an explanation to Moscow against the execution ei Elvpngren, who was one of the 20 victims reported last week to have been shot. He was an ex-cavalry officer, alleged to have participated in. the organisation of an attempt on the Soviet delegation at the Genoa Conference;, headed by M. Tehitoherin, when the delegation passed through Berlin.

(Received June To, LI a.m.) Helsingfors, AJune 14. ft is reported that Elvengren was executed some time ago, after enduring terrible torture by the Cheka, (secret police) culminating in his being taken to a prison, where he was chained to a corpse and left for five days. He lost liis reason and was executed while insane.
