WIDOW AWARDED £T00(). Damages amounting to £IOOO were awarded in the- Supreme Court yesterday to Isabella Henderson, who claimed £ISOO from Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., and Thomas Flannery, alleging that her husba'nd’s death had been caused through the negligence of defendants. The claim was the outcome of a motor accident on the Blairlogies road, near Mastertoii, on November 17. Plaintiff’s late husband was a passenger in a service car, driven by Ivan Gray,, and which was involved in a collision with a car owned by defendant company and driven by Flannery. Plaintiff alleged that the accident was the outeo'me of defendant’s reckless driving, and that her husband bad been so bodlv injured that be died on Jafntary 10, 1927. The ease was beard by tbe» Chief Justice, Sir Charles Skerrett. Mr T. M. Wilford appeared for plaintiff’ and defendants woe represented by Mr H. F. O’Leary.
