AUSTRALIAN SHIPPING TRADE Special attention is being paid by German shipping companies to the Australau trade. Officers on the German motor iship, Magdeburg, which arrived at Sydney yesterday, brought news of two large motor
ships being built in Hamburg for the Australian run. Special provision is being made in the new vessels for wool and fruit cargoes. They will have a. speed o 10 knots a.ud be of 10,000 tons gross. The accommodation or 40 passengers, oil each vessel is luurious, and the appointments are better than on any ship that has yet visited these shores.
