The Non-Appearing Barque.
INCREASING ANXIETY. The time that has elapsed sinoe the barque Grace Harwar was due at this port is causing some anxiety. The vessel is now 21 days out from Otago Heads; sho is a vessel of 1760 tons and was to load about 8000 bales of wool at Gisborne for the London market. A vessel supposed to. be the one now so anxiously looked for was sighted from the Zealandia, off the bay, on, the day when that vessel was compelled to pass Gisborne owing to the bad weather. The Harbor master (Captain Thomson) has been keeping telephonio communication with the coast, but so far there has been no report of the vessel. The winds have been in her favor for making baok to Gisborne, and therefore there ia the more cause for anxiety. The Grace Harwar is an iron vessel, and if in port here, would bo the largest sailing vessel that had visited Gisborne. It was on Boxing Day that a vessel supposed to be the overdue barque was sighted from the steamer Zealandia, the day being a fearfully rough one. . ..
The Harbormaster at Gisborne had asked that a close look-out be kept from the Omapere and Hawea on their trips between Auckland and Gisborne. The captain of the Omapere, on arrival at Gisborne last evening, reported that he had no tidings to give in regard to the overdue vessel; a sharp look-out had been kept, but no trace of the vessel had been seen.
