CONFERENCE OF OWNERS.

At the conference of yacht owners it was recommended that a series of annual races between the States be held, the yachts to be built on the British Yacht Association’s measurement rules, and that the class recommended be 30 feet linear class. All competing yachts must be steered by amateur members of Australian or New Zealand Yacht Clubs, not more than one professional or paid hand to be carried. A fund is to be opened to provide a perpetual Challenge Cup. Each State holding a race shall provide a purse of a hundred guineas, and a trophy of not less than five guines to be given to the steersman of the winning yacht.
