Heavy Rain at Dunedin.
Per Press Association,
Dunedin, last night. ] The weather was fine on Saturday, but rain set in just as the last guns of the salute were being fired, and continued steadily for some hours. To-day there was a good deal of thunder, and tremendously heavy showers of rain, which if it had. continued for long must have swamped the place. If the rains extend into the country great damage will be caused to the crops.
