Raiders at Oliphant’s River Valley abandoned many horses and carts, and endeavored to retreat- through Mmong s Poort, The British, repulsing them, occupied' the pass, and drove a portion to Konga - Mountains, capturing some, while the remainder retired eastward. A thousand mounted troops have landed at Port Elizabeth.
