APPLAUSE IN COURT.
A JUDGE’S REBUKE.

When Flaherty, who was charged with the St. Clair outrage, was sentenced at the Supreme Court this afternoon to fifteen years’ imprisonment and two floggings, there was some applause which caused Justice Williams to remark with severity, “ I’m sorry there is any manifestation in the Court. You must remember that this is not a threatre. You should behave with equal reverence in a Court as if you were in a Church.”
