THE UNION COMPANY’S APPEAL. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, last night. The_ Appeal Court is now hearing the ease Union Steamship Company v. Bakins and Bower. The latter got judgmenffor £l6O on account of damage to a shipment of onions by the Talune when she picked up the Perthshire in 1899, Mr Justice Martin holding that the conditions of the boat note did not cover such a total change. of route as had to be made! From this decision the steamship’ company’ now appeal. ■ , • •„ . ■
