AN INHUMAN FATHER.
HIS CHILD STARVED TO DEATH. [By Telegraph—Press Association.] Auckland, last night. At the inquest on a 'child at Mackaytown the medical evidence showed death was 'due to starvation owing --to improper food. It transpired that Mennoll, the child’s father, now at New Caledonia, left instructions not to call a doctor, and stated he would rather the child die than have a doctor in the house. The coroner suggested the prosecution of the father. The jury exonerated tho mother from guilt owing to want of experience.
