FIRE INSURANCE RATES. [By Telegraph—Press Association.] Wanganui, last night. At a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce to-day, a resolution was passed strongly protesting against the increase of the fire insurance rates. MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.
Considerable interest is manifested in to-morrow’s election. There arc two candidates for the Mayoralty and fifteen for the twelve seats on the Council.
