FIRES.
DWELLING-HOUSES BURNED DOWN. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Napier, May 7. A dwelling-house at Havelock, occupied by Mr Muir, was totally destroyed by fire this morning. The building and contents were insured in tho National for £250. Christchurch, May 7. A fire occurred iin a seven-roomed house in Oxford Terrace at 2 o’clock this morning. The property was owned and occupied by Mrs Taylor,' and was completely destroyed. The insurances on the building were £SOO in the Victoria; on the furniture, £2OO in the Liverpool London and Globe, and £SOO in the Phoenix,
