Wellington, last night. As an outcome of the refusal of _ the Wellington Suburbs Licensing Committee to renew the license of the Rainbow Hotel at Kaiwarra, the licensee applied to the Chief Justice this morning for a mandamus to the Licensing Committee, compelling it to grant a renewal of the license, or in the alternative to refer the applicaMr Skerrott opposed on. behalf of the Licensing Committee. Judgment was reserved.
