THE ROYAL VISIT.
GOOD-BYE—KIA ORA! By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, last night. Before leaving the colony the Duke and Duchess of York and Cornwall presented Sir Joseph Ward with a solid silver cigar and cigarette case combined, for table or sideboard, with their Royal Highnesses' badge and crest in gold. Tho Duke' and Duchess also forwarded autograph photographs to Lady Ward. Ou the run from Lyttelton the Hinemoa steamed within signalling distance of tho Ophir, and signalled, “ God-speed—safe voyage —and good-bye.” The answer from the Ophir came back, “ Good-bye—many thanks — kia ora.” Ministers returned from Christchurch to-day.
