Valuations.

Sip,—The reply from Mr A. Y T . Ross on the subject of valuations is of special interest to people in a small way who have made homes for themselves, but it soems there “ aint no justice in the land ” if a working man is not allowed to attach sentimental value to his home without being iiablc to bo rated therefor. It seems to me to strike at the very foundation of home life. By the way, lam pleased to notice that Mr Stafford has knocked Mr Frank Harris clean opt of the lists. Wo have waited morning after morning for him to come up to time, but ho seems to have disappeared behind tho cloud of dust which he kicked up with such vigor. —I am, etc., WottKKlt.
