I It is rumored tliat Wi Pere, Native member of the Eastern electorate, is to be called to the Upper House. Should Wi Pere consent, Apirana Ngata, of the East Coast, whom the Gisborne Times suggested some weeks ago, as likely to contest the next election for the Eastern electorate, would have a still more hopeful prospect.
