IMPORTS INCREASE AND EXPORTS DECREASE.
BIG SLUMP IN INDIRECT TAXATION IN FRANCE.

Tho British imports for last July increased by £2,765,000, and tho exports decreased by £165,000, compared with the previous July. Paris, Aug. 9.
The French indirect taxation for July was nino million francs below tho estimate, and twenty-million francs below that of the previous July.
