The Wellington Pharmaceutical Association resolved : “ That in the opinion of this association the Sale of Preventives Bill is an interference with the rights of the public.” Mr Nicholls, of Auckland, has invented a fire escape made entirely of iron, but thb steps are so constructed that, by a single motion, the escape, when not in use, can be made to lie flat against the building. When wanted for use it is only necessary to lift a catch and the escape falls into psation.
