ACCIDENT AT AGRICULTURAL SHOW
COVERED 13V SOCIETY’S ACCIDENT INSURANCE POLICY.

At the Agricultural Show to-day an accident of a rat her serious nature occurred just prior to the wood-chopping contest. One oi the entrants was a man named Warwick West, and ho was trimming a tree preparatory to taking part in the competition, when his axe slipped and he cut his instep very seriously, necessitating his removal to the hospital, lie is likely to be incapacitated for sonic time, even should he ever regain the use of iiis foot, which was nearly severed from the ankle. A collection was taken up on his behalf, and a considerable amount subscribed on the ground. Fortunately the Society had taken the precaution to take out ail accident insurance policy for the two days, so that West will benefit by the forethought of the Society’s executive.
