The Express states that- Lord Roberts has originated a plan for a reserve of pensioners to the number of 30,000, with an age limit of fifty-live. They will be utilised in home garrisons. The imposition of three-halfpence a pound on condensed milk has stimulated a company in the Illavvarra district to start industry. It is prepared to give a penny farthing per gallon more for milk for condensing than for butter making.
