Christchurch, last night, (tenoral Hector Macdonald, on arrival here on .Monday night, will he received by the Major and the president, members, and pipers of the Caledonian Society. The Society entertain Sir Hector Macdonald at a Scotch concert on { the following j night, and present him with an address of welcome and memento of his visit to Christchurch.
Mr George F. Tindall, a well-known Christchurch musician, and Cathedral organist for many years, died this morning, after a long illness. J>oceasod was a past pupil of the late Sir John Stainer.
