The Opium Act.

At a meeting of temperance workers and sympathisers to-night, the following resolution was passed: “Tnat this meeting expresses its appreciation of the action of the Government in passing the Opium Prohibition Bill, believing that the prohibition of op um will be ijelpful to the improvement of the morals of the people.'
