THE STATIONMASTER EXONERATED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, Jan. 6. At the inquest regarling the death of the young man Buckley, who was shot dead by a stationmaster, the evidence showed that the office had been ran.sacked. Buckley had partly forced tho safe when surprised. He was armed with a loaded revolver, and attempted to use it after he was wounded. Tho stationmaster gave evidence that deceased was a personal friend of his, and was in the office conversing with him a few hours prior to the tragedy. Tho fatal shot was not intentional, but the outcomo of oxcitemont. The office was robbed some months ago, and there had been another attempt recently. Tho jury exonerated the stationmaster, and complimented him for his pluck.
