(Per Press Association). PALMERSTON N., last night. At the request of the Chamber of Commerce the Mayor has agreed to ca'l a public meeting in connection with the Seddon testimonial on Tuesday next.
The drought has been broken up by fine rain, worth thousands of pounds to the district.
