OUR SOLDIERS.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Auckland, last night. The allotment of horses to the Ninth Contingent was made to-day at Te Papapa camp. . , Liout. Handysidc, of Wellington, takes up the duties of paymaster of the North Island Battalion. The date of departure from Auckland in the troopship Devon had been fixed for Wednesday, the 19th inst., but it is rumored now that the contingent may not leave until Saturday, 22nd.
