His Majesty King Edward has approved of the Geographical Societies’ selection of Sir H. Lugard and Major Molesworth Sykes for Royal medals. J. P. Thomas receives a Peek award for services in Queensland, and Stanley Gardiner the Murchison prize for research in the Pacific and Indian Ocean.
