(Per Press Associatitn.) WELLINGTON, last night. The Cabinet last night accepted the .tender of Houlder Bros, for transporting the Tenth Contingent to South 'Africa. The date fixed for leaving the colony is the 15th of April. The South Island Battalion will be mobilised at Addington and embark at Lyttelton, and the North Island Battaliod embark either at Wellington or Auckland. The Premier has received advice that the 1 troopship Kent, with the South Island Battalion of the Ninth Contingent off boad, arrived at Albany yesterday. Three horses were lost on the passage from New Zealand. The vessel was to resume her voyage to Durban last night. CHRISTCHURCH, lash "ieht. Approximately sixty applications have been received locally for commis-i sions in the Tenth Contingent. DUNEDIN, last night. Major Jackson cables that the Kent reached Albany on Sunday all well. OAMARU, last night. One hundred applications have been received here for the Tenth Contingent
