THE FLOOD.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Timaru, last night. The weather is beautifully fine to-day. The rain-storm appears to have completely cleared away. Communication by rail and wire is restored, and everything is working smoothly once more. Extensive damage was done in the country to roads and bridges, and the farmers suffered heavily through losses to crops and stock.
