GREAT MEAT TRUST.
FORCING UP PROHIBITIVE PRICES. By Telegraph. Press Association. Copyright New York, March 30. The American Beef Trust, mainly controlled by the Armour Company and three other firms, has forced the price of fresh meat so high in America as to make it prohibitive to thousands of families. The rise in the price increases the Trust’s profits for the present year to twenty millions sterling over last year’s profits.
