THE BOER WAR.

By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, April L Further details of the drive show that what appeared to be a column moving into line proved to be Liebeuberg’s khakiclad commando. It was allowed to escape because pursuit would have widened the loophole. The British attacked another khakiclad body passing in front, but one Boer commander, shouting, “Wo are British proceeding to our allotted place,” it was allowed to pass. The censor early in February stopped the following message :—“ Doran’s Y'eo manry fought Thcron and others in Calvinia district. The enemy were four-fold the British in number. The British abandoned the convoy and shifted the guns during tho night. The Boers at dawn directed their are upon the position previously occupied by tho guns. Later they approached under cover and tried to overthrow the position. The British guns severely punished the enemy’s sup port. Tho Boers were four hours removing their dead and wounded, and then withdrew.”
