A COURT AWARD.

By Tolograph—Press Association. Auckland, last night. The award of tho Court in the carters and timber workers’ cases refused preference to unionists, inserting in both awards a clause that employers shall not discriminate against unionists. The Court also refused the application of tho timber workers to restrict the employment of youths in mills, considering that the true interests of the community are beat served by the Court refusing to close tho avenues where youths may obtain suitable employment. In tho carters’ case the Court specially asked the masters and men to observe that they had fixed the minimum wage, not the maximum.
