The Postmaster at Napier wired the Chief Postmaster here that the Moura iiad not arrived, and that it was intended to tender her with the mails this morning. Late last evening, Mr Sampson received a telegram from the Harbormaster at Napier stating that there was no sign of tlie steamer at that port. The' Moilra left Wellington for Napier on Monday, and was due at the latter port yesterday morning, but she probably fell in with the heavy gale prevailing on the coast, and was delayed in consequence. It was rumored in town last night that the steamer had passed Napier, but there is no definite information upon which such a report could be based* A number of Gisbornites are on board the steamer, and many anxious enquiries were made at the Times office last evening for information as to whether the steamer had arrived at Napier, A telegram from Napier last night states that there was not such a high sea running, and it was anticipated that there would be no trouble in working the boat this morning.
