AUCKLAND RUGBY UNION.
y elegraph— ress ssoe ation. Auckland, last night. The Auckland Rugby Onion held their annual meeting to-night. The report stated that except in the matter of finance the results of last season’s football under ’ control of the Union were altogether satisfactory. The representative team proved successful in all its engagements, thus ending the period during which Auckland has remained unbeaten to five seasons, i During that time nineteen matches have been played, 16 being won, and 3 drawn, while the points scored have been 251, as against 64. The statement of accounts shows a loss of £2Ol, attributed to the expense of the southern tour, the bad weather experienced during the cup matches, and the fact that there was only one important match played in Auckland, t ic major portion of the proceeds of which went to the New Zealand Rugby Union, The ground trust funds now stand at £2IOO, including all accrued interest to d itc, Mr C. Ei MaoCormick was elected secretary, and Mr C. V. Langford treasurer.
