MURDEROUS SAVAGES.
TWO WOMEN AND INFANT KILLED.

News has been received from German New Guinea that the natives attacked the station of Mr Rudolph Wolfe and murdered Mrs Wolfe and an infant and a black nurse. The police, pursuing the natives, cap ■ tured ten and killed thirty. FURTHER PARTICULARS. MANY LABORERS BELIEVED TO HAVE BEEN KILLED AND - EATEN. RISING OF NATIVES FEARED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, April 21. When the relief party reached Wolffs house they found everything smashed. A number of black boys were desperately wounded. Miss Coe, who was residing at Wolffs, had been struck with a tomahawk, but a Solomon “ boy ” diaplayed conspicuous bravery, and rescued her. He also prevented the murderers burning Mrs Wolff’s body. Many of Wolffs laborers are still missing. It is feared that they have been killed and eaten. A general rising of the natives is anticipated. A largo force of black laborers have been armed to meet the emergency. The massacre occurred at New Britain, not New Guinea.
