CORONATION DAY.

There will only be one Government holiday in connection with tho coronation —viz., June 26. ‘ ! ‘ ‘ ‘ - mayoral ELECTIONS. The following are the results of the Mayoral elections in this district:—Onslow, Mr Williams ; Melrose, Mr Keene : Stratford, Mr Liardet; Feilding, Mr Goodbehere; Pahiatua, Mr Toswill. Mr Mothes has been elected Mayor of Petone. Mr Tarra has been elected Mayor of Karori. - • Timaru, last night. The Elayoral elections'--resulted : as follows: J. Craigie, 578; T. Hawkey, 332. There are 1921 names on the roll, and a good deal of interest was taken in the election, Ashburton, last night. Mr W. H. Collins was re,elected-Mayor by a majority of 108 over Mr Henry Davis, Great interest was shown in the election, nearly all the ratepayers voting Nelson, last night. The Mayoralty resulted in the reclection of Mr H. Baigent by a majority of 357 votes over Mr O. B. Piper, who polled 367. Westport, last night. Elr Hollings was declared elected. Palmerston North, last night. Elr W. T. Wood has been re-elected Mayor by a majority of 307. The votes polled were: Wood 605, Guy 298.
