SALE OF BLOOD STOCK.

Palmerston North, last night. The sales of Messrs Ormond and Donnelly's blood stock, hold here to-day by Messrs Abrahams and Williams, Ltd,, was most successful. There was a large attendance of buyers from all parts of tho North Isand, and several from Australia. Bidding was spirited, and good prices were realised. For the mare Kahuwai 400 gs were offered, but refused. It is expected that she will realise 450 gs. The following are the averages:— Hon. J. D. Ormond’s horse 3: 34 thoroughbreds averaged 24gs ; Dauntless, by Dreadnought, 32gs. G. P. Donnelly’s horses : 16 thoroughbreds averaged 35Jgs. For horses in training—Fair Dream 52gs, Gold Purse 54gs, Waiwhera 170 gs, Pearl Gun 67gs. Eleven carriage and harness horses averaged 20gs ; 20 ponies averaged 12jgs. J. R. McDonald’s Whitney, by Foulshot, brought lOgs, and T. Leen’s Sudor, by Somnus, 90gs.
