MUNICIPAL CONCERTS.

Christchurch, last night. The City Council received a very favorable report on the scheme of municipal concerts inaugurated last year, and have decided to continue them next summer. CODNCIL SERVANTS.

At the meeting of the City Council tonight, after considerable discussion, it was decided to set up a committee, partly of councillors and partly of citizens, to consider and report regarding the claims to the retiring allowances of Haskins and Murray, the retired council servants. CRICKET ASSOCIATION. At the meeting of the Canterbury Cricket Association to-night, it was resolved to guarantee J 6250 towards the expenses of a visit of an English team.
