CORONATION CELEBRATIONS.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night. A meeting of oitizens was held to-day to arrange for Coronation celebrations. It was decided to entertain all children of the city and suburbs, and a committee was appointed to arrange details, and to report to a future meeting. Another committee was appointed to interview General Babington, and report as to military display. The meeting further decided to ask citizens to illuminate their premises at night. A proposal that all children of the province should be invited to the city, aDd entertained by the parents of the children attending the city and suburban schools, was rejected, as was also a proposal to have a citizens’ ball in the evening. A proposal was also made to lay tho foundation stone of the statue of the King in Albert Park, but this was withdrawn in the meantime.
