THE WEATHER.

Wanganui, last night. During the last few days, the weather here has been most boisterous. The rain has been extremely heavy and prolonged, while the thunder and lightning have been unusually severe. The weather is still cold, and there are indications that rain is again about to fall. MASTERTON, last night. A half-inch rainfall was recorded this morning. The weather has somewhat cleared. Last night was very tempestuous. The rivers have been flooded, but are now subsiding. SNOW AT TARAWERA. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night. The weather is very cold, with heavy showers. Snow fell in Tarawera district yesterday. .
