Arthur Lynch, the member for Galway City, in a letter from Paris to the Speaker of the House of Commons, confesses that he went further than others in his sympathy with the Boers in their struggle for independence, to exhort which he overstepped the bounds of legality. In the matter of the tribunal before which he should appear to be dealt with, he leaves himself at the Speaker’s disposal.
