CO-OPERATIVE BOOT FACTORY.
[bx telegraph, press association.] Dunedin, last night,
The Dunedin Bootmakers’ Union is about to start a co-operative boot factory. The project has been maturing for years, a portion of the society’s funds being set apart for the experiment. Recently an opportunity occurred to secure a plant, and this has been purohased, and new premises are being fitted up for a start. The management is in the hands of a committee of seven quite free from the control of the Union.
