PROFITS FOR YEAR £289,501

Wellington, last night. Tho Bonk of New Zealand balancesheet was laid on the table of tho House this afternoon. Tho profit and loss account shows that tho profits on tho year’s transactions are £289,501, and the balance from tho previous year £50,00, making a total of £339,501. Against this sum, there has beon paid to the Assets Board, in terms of tho Banking Acts, tho sum of £50,000 ; twelve months' interest on the guaranteed stock, £8000; written off Bank of Now Zoaland Estates Company assets in liquidation, £22,000 ; off Dank property and premises, £8493; off the Colonial Bank property, £SOOO ; off farmturo account, £1506; leaving a balance for the year ended 31st March, 1902, of £172,501. __
